The story revolves around the six members of the Far East

Branch's 1st Unit as part of an organization called Fenrir in

which destroy monsters known as the Aragami. The game was originally released in Japan as God Eater (ゴッドイーター Goddo Ītā?) on February 4, 2010. The game was later re-released as God Eater Burst on October 28,

2010 with an expanded story and new game mechanics. This

version was released in North America on March 15, 2011

and in Europe on March 18, 2011. The opening and ending

theme songs for the game are "Over the Clouds" and "My Life", both of which are sung by Alan.[2] A sequel to God Eater Burst was released in Japan in November 2013 titled God Eater 2. A God Eater television anime series created by Ufotable has been announced.
